| I'm a former design school student. I went to school for graphic design for three years where I've had to endure constant harsh criticism on my work to make it the best it can be. However, lately I've been getting fed up with one person at a graphics/web designing forum I'm on who never has anything good to say.
I've been coding message boards for two years now and I know I'm not the best, however I do know that I can manipulate css classes to get what I want out of design. So, said person comments on my overall gallery. "You have browser compatibility issues. None of your designs look good in Internet Explorer." First, nothing looks good in Internet Explorer. Secondly, that's all great and fine, but I did actually code my things IN Internet Explorer. Third, you constantly complain that people's work isn't browser compatible yet you make no efforts to help these people fix those issues.
Next, she complained that the text color was too faint, the text size was too small, and she couldn't read anything. Yet the only things she can read are the headers that are in size 16 font. Okay, I understand that people do tend to have lower contrasted screens, but the text is light enough that it stands out and actually doesn't even fit the freaking color scheme. Just because I knew that this person was going to complain about it. And the text size was size 12 font. Which is this size.
Over all, every piece of criticism this person has given me, which the above is only a happy sampling, are constantly negative, never does one even have a positive comment, and this person never offers any solution to fix the problem.
You can tear my things to shreds and I wouldn't care one bit so long as you provided a way for me to better my work. I'm all for learning and improving - I'm not for hearing constantly whining and bitching just because I won't conform to what YOU like.

| Almost every time I log into Xanga, I realize why I've been ignoring it for the past few weeks and then I promptly log off and go back to lurking elsewhere.
I really have nothing else to say, heh. I had meant to post something ~meaningful~ here, but then I forgot.

| Work has been eating me alive and I haven't even lurked here in so long. Hi Xanga! How you been?

| I know the Chilean earthquake is kind of a big deal right now, but it makes me sad that the Argentine earthquake, which was also pretty sizable and within hours of the Chilean earthquake, hasn't even merited public mention.
